Today I spent mainly at home, we were going to go to fountain gate however the weather turned bad. So I ended up drawing for part of the day and now am now watching/writing with a Herby movie on tv. I bought some wine (thank you Louise for letting me have some last week, now i know which one to buy) to go with dinner... mums potato cakes.
I am happy with my work today. I found I could use ink that had been sitting in the pallet for ages and make a flesh type colour from red and a bit of purple watered down. I will take some photos I hope to post my work up at myartspace.com soon.
Bang! Clatter! Goes mum with the blender. Mushing all the potatoes. Pot at toes. If you break the word up like that it can be funny. I would like to do a series of words done with pictures... things like beeline and have bees all in a line, and a pot at the end of a toe. cargo.. with a picture of a car and the traffic light green, aircraft (picture of the sky with a knitting needle plastered in mid air) , blackout (make the whole page black with a green exit sign in the corner) brainwashing (pretty self explanatory but perhaps a brain hanging on a line with washing)
paperweight (paper with a weight on top of it) typeface (words on a face), television (a tv and an eye inside) middleman (two women and a man in between them) etc. I could have a whole show like that and call it Word Play.
Any how must go now dinner is up.
