Sleep Deprived.

Ive been waling up middle of the night in coughing fits. I am chilled to the bone.. so at 3am this morning I got up... put the heater on.. sat in front and thawed out. Once i was nice and toasty (took me an hour) i went back to bed. Rugged myself up with a scarf and vix. I woke up to dad leaning over me telling me he is going to go to "School" (a lady who is interviewing him and making tapes to help start to write his life story)So that was eight.

Its so lovely of the lady from Realisation Creations to let me have both bracelets with 20% off. I am so happy.. that saves me a lot. Its louises birthday present..its so beautiful... and a bracelet i put on for myself. I havent bought much for myself lately.. yes ok ok i have gotten lots of paper.. but its not the same thing. Im spoiling myself and paying it off like a laybuy.So if im short.. i can pay a little less.

I have a bit of money in my wallet and that has to last until next pay i've deciced. Got expensive items at grocery shopping today. Berries..good olive oil..alot of the essentials for the pantry. I am making a blueberry sour cream cake for dads birthday tomorrow. I found an easy lemon sour cream icing to go with it too. Might just give it that edge or kick. Mayb i will make it a little less lemony.I dont know.

Anyhow.. I have just put the heater on.. instead of a hot water bottle.. well on with the show ..i go..i go..i go..

Unhappy Camper

How to beat this wave of tiredness that has descended upon me. Its only 4am and im already that tired. I have to stay up til atleast 9pm...the way im going it will be 7pm. I am not happy with something today.. very very unhappy...but needless to say i thought it might be coming. Damn.
Im not a happy camper today.

So mayb i will sleep mayb i wont sleep. I'll repeat that.. NOT A HAPPY CAMPER.

so i better get going.

perhaps a walk to clear the head... even though ive been for one already today

Sleep In

I never sleep in until ten.. but then i was up having a coughing fit at 3am and couldnt sleep til about 4:30am... My eyes were heavy an droopy... so i needed that deep sleep i think. Even though its half twelve i am tired again.. and a, searching out the warmth .. only i have washing to put out on the line.. mayb the fresh air will do me good... brrrr im cold already.

I want to start making cards again.. perhaps a little later maybe. After I have had another snooze. I think.I just hung the washing out.. gee its a nice day.. perhaps i should stay outdoors for the day.. its freezing in the shade and warm in the sun. I am ust going to boil the water for pasta tonight. I cant be bothered to make it.. that and id be coughing over it all the damned time.

Dad is strangly enough watching dr phil.. odd but true. I am tap tap tapping away.

Sunday Sunday

Sunday sunday.. rainy cold real indoorsy sunday. Lets see now went to the city yesterday.. had a delicous lunch at the northcote social club... I only ever knew it as a dirty old mans pub before its become a rather cool place to hang out and see bands and relax or have dinner/lunch of sorts.

I ordered spicy lamb salad. Good food. Good friends. Good day in all... only i was so tired at 5pm had to head back to lucy and pauls place.. its eerie without bart there though.

Well Ive got dinner on the stove... broccoli soup... better go check on it.

rainy days and fridays

Its a rainy friday afternoon. I worked for a few solid hours on cards today.. butterfly ones for my sister. They are real pretty put them in the post. Same with nicolas. I made her bird ones... im making purple ones for a friend too. I have almost used all the card stock up. Which means ill have to start cutting my own or go to Dragonfly Dreams myself. Its tram no5 that takes me to high street. I have to pack tonight.. perhaps some thermals to boot. I think I shall wear my boots even though that makes me rather warm/ my ski boot type shoes. I am not sure.

I had a productive day. Posted all my letters. Had lunch with mum.. did the grocery shopping. Came home.. worked on cards a little more. I am a little tired now think its just cause its so warm in the house. I hate being cold. I cant find my moonstone ring.. *sighs* oh well. Im sure it will turn up. The dog is on her toes as mum is out. I will take my journal with me tomorrow.. so i can write any goings on.

Im quite in a reflective mood this evening. I will leave it here... nighty night.

Glorious Paper

Got some stunning paper from the scrapbooking shop today. Will use it wisely..to make more gift sets for people. Especially the bird ones. They look stunning. I found this amazing butterfly paper too. I turned this paper over i didnt notice that on the back has more little scrapbook sayings.. but i wont use them. Im not fond. ALthough i do like the shiny things subtly placed on cards.. bling them up a bit. I also bought my frist cd in months since about march. Its really lovely.. a bit commercial.. but oh well. Its this guy called Newton Faulkner i mainly got it for that dream catch me song. The album is a bit of a chill one.

So how much paper can i colllect? Im heading to brunswick st this weekend. hehe YAY for me. Going to go to a paper store. (imagine that) (heaven?!!) Anyhow on with the show...

U know what i did with nearly all of the cards i have made... i found some spare boxes and made some writing sets... with about 7 cards in each. One for lucy and the other one for Kylie.. i hope they like it. I included a little note too and a pen. I figure id like to do that for most of my cards. Think i will make a bird set next and sell it at the market for maybe 10/12 dollars.

Im looking forward to doing the market after a six month break! I have new stock.. as i gave a lot of my shadow boxes away as gifts for peoples houses... and birthdays and all that jazz. I love making cards.. its so relaxing... and its only limited (As most things in art) by the imagination.

I have just finished writing my letters... i have now got to concerntrate on more cards later.. this is my lunch break.. It looks nice outside although there is a whopping great big grey cloud. The sun is out.

You know i went into a shop full of cards and paper on sunday and I did not buy anything.. that has to b some kind of record for me. I can walk into op shops and not come back with anything. Although I look forward to fossicking and finding things.
Its awlays good to look. Looking never harmed anyone. Although some of the looks you get from shop keepers... are glares. *Shrugs shoulders* Oh well. Who cares. Thats precisely why i have my walkman on so i dont get asked if i need any help.

So there you have. Cuts both ways really. I watched a Hitchcock film yesterday.. gee it was good. Loved it. I want my boxed set of that back. I know someone has it somewhere. I will just have to buy another one. Oh well. I will have to save no and really put my foot down. However this month u may as well say I am broke! I have to buy a few more presents for people and thats it. Plus make their cards. I want something that will suit each persons colour sense and personality. Say if they like butterflies or dragonflies. I have them. Boys will probably get bird cards.

So today im going to do some wrapping paper test it out on the brown paper and pink tissue paper. If it works maybe i can wrap peoples gifts up at the market.! Yay.
I have a whole tin of ribbons, on of rhinstones and another of bits and bobs.. plus i found my good silver ink whilst checking outside.

Anyhow.. For now.. think ill be on with the show.
