Sheesh those burgers were a little on the bland side i think you need some tzuki or sweet chili sauce with it. Dad did not like them one bit... mum took the rest to work for her lunch. I think they needed to be blended properly.. but unfort. i don't have the right blender. I used a hand blender/puree mixer thing.
SOs they were a bit beanish.. well let me see now.. tomato soup for lunch today that never fails and tastes so yummy. Im using all of dads tomatoes from the garden. I must go put them in the oven now.
So Im back.. the tomatoes are cooling down before i pop them in the blender... or else i will crack the glass and that is one thing i cant afford to replace. I spoke to nicola .. she i busy making little Romans costume... a turtle... cute ha? I can just picture it now

Brownies
Im baking white chocolate and raspberry brownies.. its early before it becomes a stinker of a day. These will be for mum at work and for dad to take to Mr Redman. There is plenty and besides you only need a small slice.. as it will be very rich. I got a little heart burn from the mixture however..i got my quick eeze tablet things.
I bought some soda water. I just checked on the brownie sheesh its doubled in size.. glad i used mums roasting pan. Imagine if id put it in the little tin i had? Man the oven would be an absolute mess.
Ive been to the gym.. i go when mum goes to work. Its just easier. The house smells delicious. I will make my cousin the blueberry sourcream cake next week. I spent a bit on food today. Im trying to save.. not much though. *Sighs*
Well I watched this interesting doco last night it was called Chant of the Scrub Turkey it was hilarious...all about a buddhist community dealing with the growing numbers of rhw wild turkey population... it was so funny. Think good thoughts, decoy gardens, learning to live beside them. How much patients they must have, I recommend this.
Sat round with dad yesterday afternoon listening to him telling me some stories of his shipping days.. they day he left the boat to go and marry mum. Its hilarious some of the antics that his co-workers got up to. Anyhow.. he has it all down in his sea diaries.
Well looks like im going to do this sewing kids clothes thing at the niegh. house. Its sewing kids clothes.. i thought id give it a bash... i mean its only $5 a session. You so could not do that in the city thats for surE. Who knows it might inspire me to get mums sewing machine out and perhaps do what nicola wants to do.. have her own line of kids clothes. We shall see, i have a feeling that it starts next week so i better call them up today.
The brownies smell ready better go check. I just had a taste... they are so delicious. Yumbo. I think they will be a hit. Well I hope so, I will go deliver some to mum this afternoon. I must off now.

Good Morning
Good Morning and Hello Sunshine. Already been to the gym, it was packed but all these ladies were just finishing when i got there... so i was able to do work out without it being too hot and crowded. Feel all the more better for it.
Its mums and dads 35th wedding annaver. today. I wished them both that this morning, however i won't be getting them a gift until next pay. I know its going to be some nice plant. Maybe bird of paradise or something.

quiet day
Went out for dinner to the local place.. I ordered what i felt like, risotto.. not a great risotto mind you.. it was ok.. just a tad bit salty, nit much i could do other than eat it and not say a thing. Until ermm now!It was a huge serving. I guess it wasn't all bad a little over priced for what you got though. Maybe its just average prices... these days. I don't know.
I have had a lot of cheese today.,.. me bad bad. Oh well. Loving the smoked cheese.. its so damned tasty. Today i had a very quiet one.. the others went out for uncle victors birthday.. i dont feel comfortable around my cousins.. guess its just my weight. Cause they are all stUnning.
My blisters absolutely kill when ever something touches them. Grrrrrr ... Anyway...I am ok i suppose. Have been looking up recipes.. just wasting time on facebook. So its the end of a nothing day for me.. a write off in one quiet way. I have picked up a book by Elizabeth Jolley.. which looks ok. The last novel i read by her was The Well. and it was a but of a haunting tale.
Think Im going to google her and see what I can find. Dad bought Bryce Courrtnie's newie.. I must admit ive never read on of his novels.. though i might start.
anyhow off to worm my through the web
oh happy australia day for yesterday.

Where to start?
Where do I start? Today? No lets begin Wednesday... I headed to the city in the afternoon... changing once again to a connex train.. should i call it snail express? It stops at every bloody stop to the city. So it takes about 1 and a bit hours from there. I didnt mind as i buried my head in a book. Dare i add that it was a chic lit? Due to me having read just about everything i picked the book up from the op-shop. I will dispose of it "(thoughtfully) at the swap box in the library.
Got to the city.. went to a few book shops tracing the book about elizabeth david.. do u think any of them had it? NOPE. Im a hopeless detective.( It turns out its in the abc store.. which i will check next time im in the city. ) Met up with lucy outside the market on elizabeth st. Walked around the corner and almost had a heart attack due to the ampunt of people at the night market.. i guess its peak time for travellers here for the tennis and all that jazz.. seemed like every man and his dog was there.
Getting food meant waiting patiently in the queue.. so i did.. yet again i chose to had pad thai... this time it was a massive serving. Not bad for $10. I might go there again with tammy but a bit later at night perhaps at 9pm or something. Its kind of hippyish. Really well laid out. Two stages for music. Different styles.
Stopped at a few stalls. Looked around... i found this ladies paintings so beautiful.. so i bought two... they are little paintings on wood. Really beautiful. Ill take a photo (when i get the photos off the camera from mums trip away. That was all i purchased.. i could have bought oh so much more.. but resisted.
Made our way back to lucy and pauls house... tried to play scrabble but couldnt get into it... so i went to bed and read for a while. Got up the next day at about 6am
just read my book for a while.. then said goodbye and headed to the city.
I met up with Evonne, took her to the cafe bondplace.. i should have known it wasnt her style of cafe... but the food there is really quite delicious. POr at least i think so. I had toast with ricotta, prosutto and figs... ive never eaten figs before... but the combination was really lovely. Evonne had egg something or other but found shell in it and ordered maple syrup and bacon french toast.
We then headed to a another lunch place... and had the WORST coffee ive ever had in my life.. it was horrible.. even with two sugars... (ok so i have a sweet tooth)It tasted like it was burnt. Absolutely vile. My shoe kept coming off.. much to my dismay. So then decided to go and get some new shoes... i got some burkies again.. i know they take FOREVER to wear in... but then they mould and adjust to your feet... my my i tortured my feet and we werent even out of the dfo. What had i done? I had blisters the size of texas on them. Man so im looking out for some other shoes. No doubt at the cheap shoe store here.
Well of all the stupid things i have done.... I popped my old shoes in the brown bag,, and guess who left on the tram? Oh yeah the bright spark: ME. Oh shit. They weren't cheap shoes either. So i lost my sandels and had no choice but to walk around in burkies. Said goodbye to evonne then on my way to meet up with Catherine.
It was a lovely day... went to fed square to a place called chocolate buddah and just had lemon lime bitters and sat there chatting..about all sorts of things...before i caught the train back home.. it was sardine city everyone heading home... and i can tell you BACKPACKS are a pain in the arse, but i had little choice.
So i got home..relatively fast actually. Well friday rocks around.. and thats about where i will leave this.
