in from the wild
I'm back. Have been since sunday just have not filled in my blog. Think i'll start from friday.. had a good time with the family at the pub up in the mountains.Noojie a place called the outpost retreat. Had cake and a lovely day out with the family.
So saturday rocks around and I went to the city, stopped off at the bead shop and got some lovely things to go onto louises invites. They are really pretty. So today (tuesday) I bought the rest of the paper for them today.. plus some ribbon.
Let me get back to saturday: I got to lucy and pauls house.. sat down and was asked if i would like a cup of tea...sat down and as was putting it to my lips they showered me with balloons and a birthday cake. It was so lovely... they bought a singing candle and sang to me..
Later played scrabble. Paul won. (grumbles)by over 100points.. his seven letter word was bananas! Oh man. Anyhow, In the evening we went to this place called Red Rice on brunswick street. Met up with Kylie too. Had a long evening, just chatting. Then went home had a lovely cup of tea then off to bed. I woke up at 9:30 which is unusual for me to sleep in so late.
I woke up to a beautiful bowl of porridge honey and pear... yum. I forgot how much i like it. I will have to cook the cinnamon and apple one we have at home. I think as a mid morning tea. Time came around and off I head into the city to meet up with Shiralee...went to the dumpling place for lunch. Walked around the city and stopped off at this chocolate shop that is hidden but popular.
now after that i headed home... so lets see now... i will write more tomorrow

trucking along
Its almost 2 here.. and ive been trucking along with the invites... ive cut out the bits of felt so they are ready to be assembled with the ribbons and pearls etc. I have made loads of cards for the market with off cuts of materials from the invites. With some beautiful little embelishments. Man i have not used a ruler so much in ages. Im constantly ruling and measuring. Its all part of the deal i guess. I have a whopping sum of 2 cards perfect now. I never thought I would be so fussy... but they are wedding invites.
Im going to get mum to help me! Bugger it!She can. Or else i will have non for louise when she comes home tomorrow. Well think i need a coffee im a little low so hit me up with some caffine.
ciao for now.

Cardaholic.
I have been busy making all these cards to sell at the market. as well as working on invites for louise. It really is a labour of love for me. I like doing them almost zen like mode i go into.
I made some pretty lush cards.. i found some beautiful ribbon today. So i bought a couple of meters from the shop. I am in enjoying this new endevour. Having fun with colours etc. I am going to sell them at $2-$3.
Well i better get going now. I will be working my ass off to get some invites done for lou. Its really fiddly. I need some more cardboard so it means a trip to Yarragon.
I have to be careful of the time table tough... if i miss one train ill be stuck there for 3 hours and ill probably go broke..i spent so much money on materials.
nighty night.

hello
Hello. Went chasing butterflies..well jewelery ones anyhow.. didnt find any in the shops... man talk about checking every where. It looks like they are out of this seasons fashion. Unless i find some at the opshop or something. Got a few variations from spotlight. Sheesh I have been there three days in a row. Its the equivalent of bunnings for women. You could stay there for hours getting many ideas. Just have to stop somewhere, put the breaks on.
So Im making invites and I am making cards to sell at the market too. Just $2 a pop i think, til i get better and better at them. I am using the things thats Mish has sent me. I am going to use her tags as price ones for my art. Yes so its back to trying to sell my wares on Saturday with dad.
So its the right time to save money. Its the wrong time to go spending it! Like i have done over the past few days. OOOOpssYY DddAisyy. O well. You get that sometimes ha? Yes you do...I want to start increasing my savings.. though little i get its enough. I hope to sell some of my books too. They were all new. If i cant sell them., i shall donate them to the library.
Although with the internet the library is still a place i like to go to. I forget that i have access to all the info i need on the net and race to the library. TThough there is nothing like a book to read.
So what now then? Well its back to the drawing board for me.
take care out there.

It tastes absolutely heavenly. U put a heap of parmasen with it and its delicious. Its great to make too. Better to make your own if u have time than to buy store bought plasticky stuff from the supermarket. I have been a bit slack with this blog over the past few days.
I have had restless sleep. Expcept for last night where i just slipped into sleep and woke up in the morning. I like it when i come round and there is sun slipping through the curtains.

Walking
I went to the walking group... there were only 4 of us though. So they are re advertising it to see if they can round up some more people. I think its a great idea. It gets me out and about for a few hours at least. Yes gym i will go back to tomorrow i have decided. Its time to get myself out there a bit more.
So im back home now.. and ready (just about) to go out and paint. I got a call from a friend last night just to say hi. It is lovely to hear from her after absolute ages. Sometimes it takes a while for friends to surface.
I will write more later gator.

Something
Something holds me here in this stupor. I am a little dazed today. I keep remembering the old art room at primrary school, and i remember as clear as day the time when I got these pieces of wood with nails on them and we wound cotton arounf the nails.. to create shapes and form. Its eerie and irking me today, i also remember sitting in the back yard as a kid and dot painting with bamboo... flowers onto bamaboo sticks. I thought it was pretty.
Also I remember about 10ish years ago where I sat meditating in the back yard.. on of the lesson i learned that day. I know it was hidden in the silence of the back ythe dogs tramp. and im not sure what was going on.. its like the dog knew my thoughts.. and was trying to teach me a lesson.. I was reading a book too. I dont remember the details ard and the butterflies whispering it with their wings.
It is finally raining here.. thank goodness.. beautiful sweet rain. Hope it lasts all day as the garden needs it. It sunday morning, though i feel like curling up in bed and sleeping. I had a coffee... but just an instant one. May have to have a strong one to keep me buzzing. Anyhow.. its early in the day... better make my way

Muchly
The feta and spinach and pumpkin thing turned out.. a little on the sweet side and it needed some more feta to balance it out. There is enough of it because there is only 3 of us eating it. I just had an open sandwich of pickle, avacado, sundried tomatoes, ham and lettuce, for lunch.
Did the grocery shopping at aldi, that store is so cheap.. and the products are all in date. I am going to read short motivational stories with the second version of Chicken soup for the soul. There are 101 stories in the book... so its no slim pickings. I have never read Bryce Courtney novel but the persimmon tree looks so daunting and its heavy. Its a real home book. I think I havent plucked up the courage to that sort of daunting "Task"...or pleasure.
I had all my phone credit taken away from me... bastards.. i forgot that my month was up and forgot to recharge in order to roll over the credits. So now I start from scratch again. I have a few unpleasant choice words that i said to myself when i found that out.
I keep having flash backs to this dream I had when i was a teenager.. where my family was standing next to me and watching me throw people off the top of a nursing home. I dont know why that haunts me. Its all in shadow though. Im not sure why i had that dream then. Its funny. I dont remember many dreams. When I turned 21 i got three dream diaries off various people for my birthday.. and i did record my dreams. I have kept one from then.. i read it over and over..i can see... where i was supposed to go all mapped out like gold. I never listened, now i am trying to just catch one dream at night but its like poof. Gone. Perhaps It is for the best now a days.
Well I know why the parcel didnt get to Nicola.. I didn't put the right address on it. So it got sent back to me. Now I have to post it to scotts place. As they are heading there in a few weeks. I have had that much coffee I should be more awake.

What is a beautiful moment I remember? Sitting on a boat in the middle of the fjords Norway.. at midnight when it was still light..and just listening to the silence around. That was many years ago now. What is a beautiful moment recently? reflecting on that moment. Its not moving me forward but its not going back either.
How can a girl so loved, have so much hate for herself? It just floated into my head and out. I can answer that. I see my reflection and I want to change. I have abused myself with food. So why start monday when you can start today? I had a reading once and the lady said "you have taken the back seat in life with everything" How correct is she? A lot.
How to shift yourself from a mental rut into a positive light? I am listening to dads accident re-told. I have time for this. Its good for him to talk about it.. but i dont think he has ever fully recovered. Its a whole pandoras' box.. how to muster all your might into 20 seconds.. a decision between life and death. When your heart says go but your body says nO. So in some way I have seen his accident from his point of view. Somewhere he has not spoken of to me ever. He remembers everything clear as a bell. I think he should do motivational speaking.
Well I must get going and start dinner.

Simple
Found a recipe I am going to try tomorrow night. Its from one of these cooking magazines.. well a healthy one anyhow. Its roast pumpkin pie, feta and spinach baked dish. Cant wait to cook it. I am thinking of making mousaka with the eggplant mum bought home for me. We shall see perhaps a bit more reaserch on zaar will be a good thing.
I went through cooking magazines today and cut recipes out putting them into my recipe book. It started out as an art journal.. but now its full to the brim with recipes. Which of course cooking is an art in its self.
I keep having bloody flashes that i have been here and done that type of thing. Not much i can do. Maybe it means im on the right path. Not sure. These things happen. I just watched ramsays kitchen nightmares... i like that show.
Anyhow I think I might just get going now. Will write the recipe up tomorrow. night night sleep tight

Snap Happy
I got a little snap happy this afternoon... so these are the best photos of two pieces of work that i am happy with. The gold tree i must get the glass cleaned and put back together properly. The butterflies are just so pretty. I used these plastic snow like coins with some beads and a few butterflies.. i like the lay out, its in a very 70s looking frame. I felt like making it into something more than what it is.. but its too late for that now. Whats done is done.
The tree is just beautiful. The gold like jewelery i broke up and the tree leaves which i pulled off the candles around the house. All make for a lovely picture, Easy on the eye. I am not painting today. I already went for a walk and got some groceries. I have just about shopped out all this week, Its time to use the staples from the pantry me thinks. I was so tempted to make this orange and rasin pie from donna hays winter issue but mum gave me a MASSIVE lecture about my weight again. *sighs* I know she is right thats the problem. So i will have to cook more healthily. I guess i have indulged so i face the bulge.
I have here a cup of lovely strawberry and vanilla green tea. Lots of anti oxidents. I must say i am enjoying my meals more without coke. Used to hide the falvours in sugary syrup.. now we only buy i t on occasions.. which is about once a fortnight. I have to book the place for my birthday, im booking it for 12... if more come, (which i doubt) then more come.
Well mum presented to me just how much i have spent on books oe about 10years and she is probably right in saying that is well over 5grand, so.. what do I do? I'll borrow from the library again me thinks... or look thoroughly in the op shops.Sometimes there are absolute gold mine for books.
Scooter has been a real cudddly dog today, on and off my lap for some odd reason. She is usually out in the garden with dad. She shares her time equally between us. Curled up on the seat asleep at the moment. We have had her for about 10/11 years now. She seems young to me though. We love her. She favors scott if he was here.. rolls on her tummy for him all the time.

GOt a letter from angiebear , read it. Had an article about Alexander McCall Smith in there.. about how he has opened up a small opera place in africa that will put on two shows a year. Interesting. I have to get the series off the internet they have just started to show them in england. So i hope the abc or sbs picks it up here. I love those books. All his work is just great.
I have had images from the past jumping into my head lately. Not odd. Just introspective i think. How i treated them for some reason is playing on my mind. I guess i should make myself a little more busy. I cant rest my mind from them so m taptap tapping here.
I remember a lot
(a shit load actually. )
so there is nothing i can do. Cept live with my choices. Need a hug or something..instead al i have is the smell of bleach. *sighs* It reminds me of the churchill pool... and me playing waterpolo. Not that i knew the rules really. I just remember swimming up and down getting a goal here or there. Weird i suppose. I also remember me demanding mum to buy me a stussy top for the trophy night they held.. i knew mum couldnt really afford it but she got it for me anyhow. I think I was as bad as scott.. but blind sided myself against it. U know i miss swimming so much but just feel too ashamed to go swimming.
So maybi should just do that and go. I have these angel cards which have been quite accurate... i seem to pull out the healthy lifestyle card.which says i should change my eating habits and exersize more to encourage weight loss and a happier life.
I seem to pull that card out a lot. Soo i should take note. Well. Its almost 4 time to get the fritter batter together. We are having it with salad.

weekend
Spent the weekend at the Halinkas. I was as quiet as a mouse all weekend. I sat there reading and reading and reasding i finished the Banana Yoshimoto novel that was stunning. 3 love stories (not mills and boon either!) (ok?) hauntingly beautiful in the way the words just danced off the pages.
I also got this novel that is stunningly funny... called Hullaballoo beneath the guava tree. Its hilarious. I am half way through.. it brightened up my day. Its really wierd. I have the windows open and there is someone either burning off. Hmm.
Louise loved her jewelery.. which is great im glad. I wrote all my letters i have them to post off today.. I am also attempting to cook my first roast (here comes a bloody disaster if ever i heard one) lol. Anyhow... I made roast tomato soup the other night. Its 23 out there and its a good time to paint as its not cold. Now the clocks have gone back an hour.. the night will draw in closer to 6pm. Less light to paint with.. *sighs*
today i will work on shadow boxes...i hope to do some nice ones as i have that many supplies, anyhow must finish this coffee and get started...

This week
This week I have been a bit side tracked. I have started painting again which is good. I have found a place for my birthday... which is Bokchoy Tang. Absolutely stunning food and beautiful interior too. I like the place. So that is where it shall be. I have to go sit down with them and ask if i can bring cup cakes in for desert. Some places are funny about it.
Also I spent the weekend going to everyones places.. it was tiring. Although I caught a taxi here and there. Went to Antz Bistro which also has more chinese food. I had fish cooked in egg white with fresh ginger and lemon. It was super nice.
I had my fill of chinese food for a little bit. I enjoyed the weekend. Im not feeling that well today.. not sure why.. just a bit of an upset tummy.
