This is the recipe for sweet and sour nuts.. its out of the essential vegetarian cook book.

SWEET AND SPICY NUTS

250g pecans
3 tablespoons of sugar
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 a teaspoon of black pepper
1 teaspoon of ground cinnamon
pinch of ground cloves
1/2 teaspoon of curry powder
1/4 teaspoon ground cumin

1. Prehaet oven to moderate 180. Place almonds and pecans o a large baking tray.Bake for 5-10minutes or untilthe nuts are crisp and golden. Remove from heat and allow to cool.

2 Combine the sugar, salt pepper and spices in a small bowl. Mix well.

3 Heat large frying pan. Add the almonds and pecans. Sprinkle the spice mixture over the nut,. Cook the nuts, stirring over medium heat for 5minutes or until the turn golden brown and the sugar has melted and coated the nuts. Shake the frying pan often to ensure even cooking. Of nuts stick together, separate with a wooden spoon. When nuts are cooked remove from heat.Spread on a lightly oiled baking tray to cool.

And thats it.. its very simple and the last time i made them for a picnic they went down a treat. I haven't used this recipe in over a year now. I know you cn drink beer and easily eat these. Im in the process of cooking the white chocolate and cranberry cookies. I will take them to mums work this afternoon.

I dont think im going to the gym today. I know i know. No excuses.... well i might go to the 2pm session when its quiet. U know you only do two rounds and the rest ou do cool down exersizes. Wellp i can hear the buzzer going... better check on the cookies..
